BC Companies Accessing China

The “Rise of China – which since 2001 has accounted for fully one-third of the world’s economic growth – is destined to be seen as one of the most important economic, social and political trends of the first half of the 21st Century.

China’s emergence is fundamentally changing the competitive environment of many industries – and all this is happening while the country’s average per capita income is still just $1,800 US.

Today, any company with any international ambitions at all must inevitably engage with Asia and, by extension, China. By focusing on “What’s different? What’s changing?" and "What are some of the best BC companies currently doing about it?, this special business forum is intended to provide an interactive mechanism through which participants may better consider their own Asia Pacific strategies by drawing on the practical experiences and learnings of their local business peers.

It will also outline some unique opportunities for BC companies to take advantage of several upcoming business visit programs to China being convened by China Access 2008, the economic legacy program for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

Join other local B.C. businesses on May 24th at the Wosk Centre for Dialogue and connect with your business peers in developing your strategy for Access to China.
